E. E. Tucker, Jr. (1922-2011)
Mr. Tucker spent his entire business career of 45 years in the administration of health and life insurance. His first ten 10 years were in underwriting, claims, and ultimately claims management for Mutual of Omaha. He is a pioneer in the third-party administrator (TPA) industry. Beginning in 1958, Mr. Tucker established a group of TPAs in the health insurance industry across the United States. He founded Tucker Administrators in 1976 that today serves as the keystone of the Tucker Administrators' health risk management operations.
Ernest Eugene Tucker III
Ernest Tucker (Gene) began his insurance career at age 11, working part-time for his father, E. E. Tucker, Jr. In 1977, he was promoted to President of TEECO, Inc., a Tucker Company subsidiary, where he quickly became proficient in stop-loss insurance and gained underwriting authority with several major reinsurance companies. As a broker at Lloyds of London, he traveled monthly to London, showcasing his dedication to the industry. An innovator in the TPA sector, Gene has combined the necessary resources to deliver cutting-edge health risk management solutions to the employee benefits industry.
In his multifaceted role at Tucker Administrators, Gene not only ensures the TPA operates efficiently and provides excellent customer service but also leverages his expertise as a licensed health and life insurance agent. This allows him to advise clients on selecting appropriate insurance policies, tailoring coverage to meet individual and organizational needs. By combining his administrative experience with in-depth knowledge of insurance products, Gene offers comprehensive solutions that enhance the service provided to Tucker Administrators’ clients.
